Good Stuff! Resources!

It’s been too long since I last posted. I appreciate your patience. The past two weeks are a blur between family and church family care. I am a husband, father, pastor, friend, and blogger is way down the line from there. I really enjoy blogging when I can! I pray the resources are helpful.

Here are some resources from around the web you may find helpful or interesting.

Here is a great quote that Tim Challies posted. I believe it will be helpful for serving the body of Christ with the gifts He has given us. “Preparing Your Hands for Church” (Update: I fixed the link. Sorry for the mistake!)

Charles Spurgeon has been called the Prince of Preachers. He also had a great sense of humor. This article looks at the humor of Charles Spurgeon. “21 Funniest Spurgeon Quotes”

This is a short video by Steven Lawson on Psalm 14:6. An excellent reminder “When God Is Your Refuge, You Are Immovable.”

Church membership is far more than paying “dues” and having our names on a list. Brother Costi Hinn gives “6 High Commitments for Church Members.”

Here is a great excerpt from one of Spurgeon’s sermons. This is titled “Hide Not the Offense of the Cross.”

Here is a book from a few years back. In Risk Is Right, John Piper deals with the topic of risk, a topic with which American Christians often struggle. The book is available for free download for ereader or for purchase. Make sure you download the right format! https://www.desiringgod.org/books/risk-is-right

Note: Please understand that I may not endorse all the resources on a particular website. I also do not endorse everything in the books I recommend. I am sharing specific resources that have helped me. Use biblical discernment as you read anything. Just as there are a lot of good resources freely available online, there are some really bad resources. Always grade everything you read on this blog or elsewhere with the Bible.
